Beaumont, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Following its best season since restoring its football program, Lamar agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with coach Ray Woodard, the Southland Conference university said Thursday. Lamar finished 8-4 this season - its fifth since the program was brought back in 2010. The Cardinals also set a school record with five wins in Southland action. Woodard has a 25-32 record (.439) in his five seasons. We are very happy about keeping Coach Woodard at Lamar, athletic director Jason Henderson said.
