but we’ve been waiting for Olisaemeka Udoh Jersey nfl draft , George Iloka.Iloka came to the Vikings halfway through the preseason after the Cincinnati Bengals released him. Many thought that since Iloka played for head coach Mike Zimmer in 2012 and 2013 that he would fit right into Zimmer’s defense and start immediately. But the last time Iloka played significant snaps on defense was against the Seattle Seahawks in the preseason. And that has left many wondering what is Zimmer’s plan for Iloka? But, according to the Star-Tribune, that is now about to change. With Andrew Sendejo out with a groin injury Iloka is a sure fire start this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium, as Iloka has been practicing alongside Harrison Smith all week. Iloka did play seven snaps against the Philadelphia Eagles Minnesota Vikings Jerseys 2019 , but this will be his first official start with Minnesota this Sunday.Iloka told Andrew Krammer on Friday what it is like to finally get the start. “Like riding a bike. Obviously, [Smith] is a playmaker Olisaemeka Udoh Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , so we’ll see on Sunday what it’s like to play with him.”And since he has had five weeks to watch how the defense plays, he says he is ready to go. “It was different, but I’ve always tried to prepare the same. I’m still in my routine the way I approach the week and things like, but obviously I’ve gotten more reps because Sendejo has been out this week.” Some former players from the failed-AAF are starting to find new homes"The Minnesota Vikings signed two players from the gone-too-soon Alliance of American Football on Friday. Minnesota added former San Antonio Commanders safety Derron Smith and cornerback Duke Thomas. Safety Derron SmithThe 27-year-old played in seven games with San Antonio Youth Alexander Mattison Jersey , he recorded 21 tackles and three interceptions. The Fresno State alum was a sixth-round draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2015. Smith played in 31 games for the Bengals and seven with the Cleveland Browns. Smith has only recorded 7 tackles, a fumble recovery and one deflected pass in his NFL career. It would only seem that he would be an addition to the practice squad. He hasn’t been on an NFL roster since 2017 when he was with the Browns. The three-time First-Team Mountain-West selection recorded 253 tackles in his last three seasons at Fresno State. Cornerback Duke Thomas The 24-year-old undrafted journeyman has circled his way back to the NFL. The Texas Longhorns alum was on the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles practice squads in 2016 before sitting out a season due to an injury. In 2018, he made a trip to the Canadian Football League where he spent a season on Toronto’s practice squad. Thomas led the Commanders with 22-tackles along with an interception and a fumble recovery in seven games. Thomas was a three-year starter at Texas and spent time at the nickel position as a senior. The two-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention played in all 51 games and started in 35. Thomas would occasionally handle kickoff and punt returns for the Longhorns during his last three years.
