This was an expected move for the Ravens as Canady returned to practice last week. He was one of two players on injured reserve-designated to return. Although he has proven that he can be a serviceable cornerback, Canady’s biggest issue has been his health. He played in one game in 2018 before being placed on injured reserve. His positional versatility was enticing as he could play center or either guard position. Despite center being his most natural position, Grasu has only played guard for the Ravens.
